#Vincent's character sketch sheets are so cute #It's so obvious (even more) that he is imitating Jack in his hairstyle. He even sports a long braid #There's a mention that he tried to read every one of Gil's favorite books #but that their taste is very different and he always gets bored mid-book. I liked that #I also really really liked that initially he was going to be of frail health #I think he retains that a bit with how he is sleepy most of the time at first #But I in general really like that. Leigh is right. There's so much of chronic illness in general around the children of misfortune #The three of them #I talk too much #I should probably delete this later #He always dressed in white and I love that too #And there's the fact that he wears earrings because of Jack confirmed here too #It's also mentioned that whenever he finishes a chess game on the manga he does so (winning) with the queen #Because he is the queen of hearts #And that the author was careful for him and Oscar to move pieces that would make sense for the game to end that way #in that first chess game Oscar and Vince had at the beginning #That was a very cool detail #Vincent used to cough a lot. #personal #delete later #maybe i'll talk about it tomorrow but it's a really cool anime and i'm forever shocked that it was made by trigger #a full cast of teenage girls and absolutely zero fanservice or sexualizing! what a concept!#also i was looking at designs for the bg student characters because they designed a whole student body to fill the school and gave them #names and nationalities and personalities and. there's a middle eastern student who wears a hijab/niqab! how cool is that!!#i don't think i've ever seen rep like that in a mainstream anime and speaks to how they genuinely gave a shit about diversity #you read about all these bg character's details and realize how much they cared about this anime's world #there are these twin from india who are both very protective of their smaller roommate and will get into fights about taking care of her #none of them have lines in the anime #there is a fat side character who is sweet and unapologetically just likes to eat and everyone is friends with her #there is a canonically butch character and an entire episode about her crossdressing as a man

Real fan art is coming one day, but for now I really wanted to see if it was feasible to simplify their gradients into something that would fit a simple style like Bluey’s 😅

#aaaaaaaaaAAA #they're so precious I can't ;m;#I still haven't watched Bluey so I can't really comment on show accuracy but to me these look spot on #if you ask me the gradients work really well #if you look at them and unfocus your eyes they look like their normal markings #Vasco might benefit from having one more band between the base yellow and the lighter brown but that's totally optional and might take away #from the simplicity of his design #their colors are so true to the way I color them which is both cool and kind of uncanny #like Machete's pink details which in reality are very peachy almost closer to light orange than true pink #and their colored linearts which use the same colors I use for my colored linearts #I don't know I thought that was really cool attention to detail #they're adorable #thank you!#gift art #apupcalyptic #own characters #Machete #Vasco #their lives would be a lot less stressful in bluey universe I reckon

sometimes i think about how crepus probably wasn't father of the year and i go a little insane. the way he pushed diluc into becoming a knight of favonious at such a young age; diluc receiving his vision so early in his life; how he saw his accomplishments as both his and his father's; crepus planning to gift or getting a delusion for his son despite his vision; and, the way diluc's namecard references him as crepus' creation, which is such an impersonal and cold way to put being someone's son. not only that but, again, referencing his strenght specifically. i'm not saying crepus was a bad father, diluc loved him dearly, but the projection he did of his own dream onto diluc's life and the efforts he went through to make sure diluc was "strong enough" doesn't appear to have been the healthiest thing.

we obviously have little to no information about diluc's relationship with his dad outside of a few mentions here and there but from his character story it just seems that even the praise crepus gave diluc was always because he did well in, somehow, living his father's dream and not necessarily because of who diluc was. it's a little bittersweet.

#i think this is really cool storywise though even though it's sad to aknowledge it could be true #relationships with parents are complicated. parents projecting onto their kids is something that happens a lot. it's relatable.#and even though diluc doesn't seem to be that impacted by it or at least they haven't explored that it's still a pretty interesting detail #to compliment his characterisation. it's just obvious that hoyoverse has a lot of love for diluc and even kaeya's lore and their own worlds #they feel done with great care and attention to detail and i love that very much #thinking about diluc because his bday is in two days <3 very excited!!!#diluc #crepus #genshin impact #genshin thoughts
